Nasca - Tour to the Cantalloc Aqueducts, Paredones Ruins, and El Telar Geoglyph

Duration: 2 hours 30 min.

Everything you need to know

  • Location: The Cantalloc Aqueducts, the El Telar geoglyph, and the Paredones ruins are located about 4 km from the city of Nasca.
  • Cantalloc Aqueducts: An impressive system of underground channels (puquios) built by the Nasca culture. They stand out for their distinctive spiral-shaped vents, a work of hydraulic engineering that still supplies water to desert farmland today.
  • Paredones Ruins: An ancient Incan administrative center built with carved stone bases and adobe walls. It served as a key strategic control point connecting the coast with the highlands to facilitate trade.
  • El Telar Geoglyph: Also known as The Needles, this is a linear figure drawn on a plateau close to the aqueducts. It represents the tools of ancient weavers and shows the remarkable geometric precision of the area's early inhabitants.
